Pre-Team Cheerleading

At Steel City, our Pre-Team Cheerleading program is the perfect introduction to cheerleading! Designed for athletes to learn the fundamentals, this program provides a supportive environment where athletes can develop their skills and build confidence.

   Programme details:

  • Commitment: Athletes are required to attend four sessions to gain essential skills and decide if they want to move onto a competitive team.

  • Development: Our Pre-Team focuses on teaching basic cheer techniques, including jumps, stunts and tumbling.

  • No Pressure: If athletes decide that competition isn’t for them, they can choose to remain in the Pre-Team program, allowing them to continue working on their skills without the stress of competition.

Where are sessions held?

All sessions are held at our venue: The Forge, 1 Wallace Road, Sheffield S3 9SR. We have plenty of parking spaces in our free car park and there is also lots of free on-street parking on the surrounding roads. We have room for pushchairs to be brought inside, there are 2 small steps as you come up to the door but we are on hand to help. We have baby change facilities including wipes. Our bathroom facilities are fully accessible for those with additional mobility needs.

What should my child wear?

Children should wear comfortable clothing they can move freely in, bare feet (socks if required) with long hair tied back and all jewellery removed for safety. We ask that adults remove any outdoor shoes when on our sprung floor to protect the carpeted surface.

Please let us know if you have any further questions – we are happy to help.
